Dennis Cook and a small group of people started DC Coaters,
Inc. Tipton Indiana in March of 1993. Dennis has 28 years
in the stamping industry with his expertise in production
management. In addition, the Board of Directors has over 60
years experience in the automotive industry.
We have two E-Coat paint lines from Therma-Tron
X Inc. of Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin. These lines are set up to
clean, pre-treat with zinc phosphate, seal, paint and cure
which will currently give parts a 1000 hour salt spray
resistance. At this point the paint used in the systems is
PPG 590-534 Lead and Chrome free cationic epoxy. We will
upgrade as new technology becomes available.
Salt spray testing is done by PPG Industries or
Henkel Surface Technologies in a quarterly corrosion audit
program.
DC Coaters Inc., based in central Indiana,
serves the needs of the Automotive Industry and
non-automotive accounts. Customers of DC Coaters, Inc.
service Automotive Manufactures such as; Ford, General
Motors, Chrysler, Delphi, Toyota, Honda, Subaru, Isuzu,
Mitsubishi, AM General, Mercedes Benz, Saab, Navistar and
Nissan.
The company implemented “Lean manufacturing” as taught by
Toyota. “High Performance Teams” allow employees to have
say in how things get done in the plant.
