Who We Are

DC Coaters was founded in 1993 in Tipton, Indiana by Dennis Cook. Dennis had 28 years of experience manufacturing stampings as a production manager and desired a better coating process and service provider to the industry. His vision was to develop an e-coat company with a vision to meet or exceed customer expectations.

DC Coaters has two e-coat paint lines from Therma-Tron X Inc., of Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin.  These lines are set up to clean, pre-treat with zinc phosphate, seal, paint, and cure which will currently give parts a 1000-hour salt spray resistance.  At this time the paint used in the systems is PPG CF691B-524 lead- and chrome-free cationic epoxy as we continue to pursue enhanced coatings and technology to service our customers with the best product and processes in the industry.

Salt spray testing is done by independent labs in PPG Industries of Henkel Surface Technologies in a quarterly corrosion certified audit program.

DC Coaters can quote special packaging, light assembly, visual inspection, and Poka-yoke processes to help you serve our customers better. We have direct-shipped products for years to reduce the cost of freight and inventory on behalf of our customers.

DC Coaters will visually inspect every piece as we pack it to your needs. We have many work centers developed to provide counting, part ID, and labeling per customer demands.
